The ultimate ultra endurance cycle race from the most Northern tip of the island, Point Pedro to the most Southern Point Dondra, - surely not for the faint hearted, but for the one who can't resist a challenge! Not too long ago, as a means to unite as one to celebrate the 71st Independence Day on the 4th of February 2019 , ‘Race The pearl’ hopes to continue to bring communities together, bridging all barriers, and with - it a number of ambitious cyclists from world over to take on the ultimate challenge of racing across the country within 24 hours, covering 600km in distance. The course will take you along side wild life sanctuaries acres of paddy fields and hundred of Sri Lankan smiles . Along with it of course; the greatest challenge of all - the willpower to overcome physical limitations - mind over matter! It is surely not a ride in the park, but will leave you breathless (literally)

Around the Pearl

With Sri Lanka claiming the top spot on Lonely Planet’s best travel destinations list of countries to visit in 2019, a ride around the pearl in the best excuse and ideal way to see what this island treasure has to offer!

Truly a tropical paradise, with stunning backdrops varying along the beautiful landscapes, this 10 day cycling challenge covering 1400kms around the beautiful coastal belt of Sri Lanka will commence for the 5th year in April 2021

Not forgetting, at the heart of this ride is a great cause which is the raising of funds for the kids suffering from cerebral palsy - one or Sri Lanka’s most common childhood disabilities. Each kilometer goes a long way to help raise funds for wheelchairs, and so far with 2200 wheelchairs being donated, our goal of reaching 10,000 is the ultimate challenge.
